Returning Everything to Love
Every fear. Every wound. Every mistake. Every part of you is simply waiting to be loved.
If there is one lesson that continues to reveal itself to me over and over again, it is this...
Everything is asking to be returned to love.
Not fixed.
Not judged.
Not rejected.
Loved.
At first, this idea can seem almost too simple.
How could love possibly heal years of hurt?
How could compassion transform deep emotional pain?
How could acceptance change the stories we've carried our entire lives?
But perhaps healing has never been about becoming someone different.
Perhaps it has always been about remembering how to love what we've forgotten.
Love Sees Differently
Most of us have become experts at judging ourselves.
We judge our anger.
Our fear.
Our mistakes.
Our bodies.
Our past.
We tell ourselves we should have known better.
We should have healed by now.
We should be stronger.
Kinder.
More confident.
More spiritual.
But love has never spoken that way.
Love doesn't ask us to become worthy.
Love simply asks us to come closer.
To stop running.
To stop hiding.
To stop believing that parts of ourselves are beyond redemption.
Every Emotion Wants to Come Home
Imagine a small child who has become frightened.
Would you criticise them?
Would you shame them for being scared?
Or would you kneel beside them...
Hold them gently...
And let them know they are safe?
Our emotions deserve the very same kindness.
Fear isn't asking to be defeated.
Anger isn't asking to be silenced.
Sadness isn't asking to be avoided.
They are asking to be understood.
The moment we stop fighting our emotions, they no longer have to fight for our attention.
The Parts We've Rejected
There are often parts of ourselves we've quietly pushed into the shadows.
The people-pleaser.
The angry part.
The jealous part.
The insecure part.
The grieving part.
The frightened child within.
For years we may have believed these parts made us less lovable.
But what if those are the very parts that need love the most?
Healing begins the moment we stop asking,
"How do I get rid of this?"
And begin asking,
"How can I love this?"
That single question changes everything.
Returning, Not Becoming
Many people see spirituality as a journey towards becoming.
Becoming wiser.
More peaceful.
More enlightened.
But I experience it differently.
To me...
This journey isn't about becoming.
It's about returning.
Returning to compassion.
Returning to truth.
Returning to presence.
Returning to forgiveness.
Returning to the love we've always been beneath every layer of fear and conditioning.
Nothing new is being created.
We're simply remembering what has always been there.
Love Doesn't Rush Healing
One of the greatest gifts love offers is patience.
Love doesn't place deadlines on healing.
It doesn't compare your journey with someone else's.
It doesn't ask why you're still struggling.
It simply stays beside you.
Again...
And again...
And again.
Healing isn't measured by how quickly your pain disappears.
It's measured by how gently you learn to hold yourself while it does.
Perhaps that's what grace really looks like.
The World Reflects Our Relationship With Ourselves
As we begin returning ourselves to love, something quietly changes.
We become less reactive.
More compassionate.
More patient.
Not because the world has changed...
But because our relationship with ourselves has changed.
The love we extend inward naturally begins flowing outward.
We judge others less.
We forgive more easily.
We become curious instead of defensive.
We begin seeing the humanity in everyone we meet.
Perhaps the peace we're looking for has never been waiting somewhere outside of us.
Perhaps it has always been growing within us.
Final Thoughts
Imagine if every difficult experience carried the same quiet invitation.
"Would you like to respond with love this time?"
Not perfect love.
Not instant love.
Simply one small, gentle step closer.
One softer thought.
One kinder word.
One deeper breath.
One moment of compassion.
Perhaps this is what healing has always been.
Not erasing the past.
Not pretending pain never existed.
But allowing love to reach the places fear could never heal.
A Gentle Reflection
Take a slow breath.
Now bring to mind one part of yourself you've been struggling with recently.
Perhaps it's fear.
Perhaps it's anger.
Perhaps it's self-doubt.
Instead of trying to change it...
Simply place your hand over your heart and quietly ask,
"What would love say to this part of me?"
Then listen.
Not with your mind.
With your heart.
You may discover that the love you've been searching for has been waiting patiently within you all along.
And perhaps...
That is what returning to love has always meant.
