Not Everything Is Meant For You
Sometimes the greatest wisdom is knowing what to leave behind.
One of the most liberating moments on any spiritual journey is realising that you don't have to accept every belief, every teaching, or every idea that comes your way.
For many of us, there is an unspoken pressure to "get it right."
To understand everything.
To agree with the teacher.
To follow the same path as everyone else.
But what if that was never the intention?
What if your soul wasn't looking for more information...
What if it was simply learning how to recognise what truly belongs to you?
The truth is, not every lesson is meant for every person.
And that's something worth celebrating.
We Are All Walking Different Paths
Imagine thousands of people climbing the same mountain.
They're all heading towards the summit, but they're taking different paths.
Some begin on the eastern side.
Others approach from the west.
Some walk through forests.
Others climb over rocks.
Some arrive quickly.
Others pause often to rest.
Who is taking the correct path?
The answer is...
All of them.
Because the destination isn't determined by the path someone else chooses.
It's determined by continuing to walk your own.
Life is much the same.
Each soul has chosen different experiences, lessons and opportunities for growth.
If our journeys are different, why would we expect every teaching to resonate with every person?
Your Soul Knows What It Needs
Have you ever noticed how certain books seem to appear at exactly the right time?
Or how a conversation suddenly answers a question you've been carrying for weeks?
Then, years later, you revisit that same book or hear that same conversation again...
And you hear something completely different.
The words haven't changed.
You have.
As we grow, our capacity to receive new understanding grows with us.
Sometimes we simply aren't ready for certain ideas.
Not because they're wrong.
But because they're not what our soul needs right now.
Trust the timing of your own journey.
There is no race.
There is no finish line.
There is only the beautiful unfolding of your own life.
Growth Changes What Resonates
One of the most fascinating things about life is how our understanding evolves.
Perhaps there was a time when forgiveness felt impossible.
Then life softened your heart.
Perhaps meditation once seemed strange.
Now it feels like coming home.
Perhaps spirituality once made no sense at all.
Now you find yourself asking deeper questions than ever before.
None of this means you were wrong before.
It simply means you've grown.
Growth changes what resonates.
And that's one of life's greatest gifts.
We Don't Need to Convince Anyone
One of the easiest traps to fall into is believing that if something has deeply helped us, everyone else should experience it too.
We've all done it.
We discover a life-changing book.
A powerful meditation.
A beautiful course.
A new way of looking at life.
And naturally we want everyone we love to experience the same transformation.
But true wisdom doesn't force itself upon anyone.
It gently offers an invitation.
Every soul is already being guided in exactly the way it needs.
Our role isn't to convince.
Our role is simply to love.
When we release the need to change others, something beautiful happens.
We become free to honour their journey just as deeply as we honour our own.
Trust the Gentle "Yes"
Life rarely shouts.
More often, it whispers.
A quiet feeling.
A peaceful knowing.
A sentence that seems to glow from the page.
A conversation that lingers in your heart long after it ends.
These are often the moments your soul is saying,
"Pay attention."
You don't always need to know why something resonates.
Sometimes it's enough to notice that it does.
The more you learn to recognise these gentle moments, the easier it becomes to trust yourself.
Honour What Doesn't Resonate
There is another kind of wisdom that is equally important.
Learning to let something go with love.
Not with judgement.
Not with criticism.
Simply with gratitude.
You don't have to argue against an idea that doesn't resonate.
You don't have to prove someone else wrong.
You don't even have to understand why it doesn't feel right.
You can smile and say,
"Perhaps this belongs to someone else's journey."
There is tremendous freedom in allowing people to have different truths while remaining deeply connected through love and respect.
Final Thoughts
The older I become, the less interested I am in collecting beliefs.
Instead, I find myself becoming more interested in collecting moments of truth.
Those quiet moments when something inside gently says,
"Yes."
I've learned that those moments are worth trusting.
Not because they make me right.
But because they help me become more deeply aligned with who I truly am.
Perhaps that's all this journey has ever been about.
Not becoming someone different.
Simply becoming more yourself.
A Gentle Reflection
Take a quiet moment today and ask yourself:
What has deeply resonated with me recently... and why?
Then ask another question.
Is there something I've been trying to force myself to believe that doesn't truly feel like my own experience?
Give yourself permission to release it.
Not because it's wrong.
Simply because it may not belong to your journey right now.
Trust that what is meant for you will continue to find you.
And trust yourself enough to recognise it when it does.
